Leo Bahr

Leo C. Bahr was born May 27, 1908, in Carterville, Illinois. After attending St. Ambrose College in Davenport, Iowa, Bahr found employment with International Harvester's Farmall Works in Rock Island, the Pullman Plant in Chicago, and the Bettendorf Tank Arsenal, eventually becoming the plant comptroller at International Harvester Company's East Moline Works. As a musician, he performed with various bands in Canada, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, and Oklahoma. Bahr is known to have performed with Bix Beiderbecke in the Quad-City area in 1930 and 1931, the last winter that Bix was alive.
