Santi De La Rubia

Spanish saxophonist born in 1984 in Valencia, Spain. In 2002 he finished the Professional Degree of Classical Saxophone. Due to the influence of saxophonists such as Stan Getz and John Coltrane he switched to tenor. That same year he moved to Barcelona to enrol at the ESMUC (Escola Superior de Músics de Catalunya) and graduated with distinction in 2006. He has also shared the stage with Jorge Rossy, Doug Weiss, Tom Harrell and Perico Sambeat among others and has recorded as featured sideman with relevant performers from the Spanish jazz scene like Roger Mas, Albert Vila, Joan Monné and Martín Leiton.
