Barry Duggan (born Melbourne, Victoria, Australia) is an Australian saxophonist. He started performing in 1958. At different stages, he was involved in the modern jazz scene in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth. Among his colleagues were Chuck Yates, David Tolley, Alan Turnbull, Joe Lane and John Pochee. He travelled overseas in the late 1960s, leading a band for two years at the Hotel Raj in Bombay, then touring Europe and the USA with the ten-piece jazz-rock group Dada (12). He then spent three years in New York doing session work for Atlantic (with a host of big names from Aretha Franklin to Roberta Flack), then moved back to London where he spent two years with Max Merritt And The Meteors. Barry returned to Australian in 1976, and joined Roger Frampton's Jazz Co-Op.
