Shvili

Born & bred in Tbilisi, Georgia- Shvili discovered her love for music as a child playing the piano. Growing up in the scene of Georgia, Tatia was exposed to the underground scene from an early age. From warehouse parties to raving on the beach; this all was very familiar to Shvili in her teenage years. Now based in Brooklyn, DJ-producer Shvili has made a name for herself as a resident of BiTRaTE and regularly playing for the newly minted afterhours series at Apollo Studio. Spinning anything from old house records to break-y minimal, Tatia has an ear for what grooves make people sweat. In recent history, she’s played alongside artists such as: Andrey Pushkarev, Huerta, O.Bee & Tomas Station, Taimur, Usherenko, and many more talented selectors. Earlier this year, her first release came out on the Tbilisi-based label, Pluto’s Plan, for a compilation with a number of respected producers. Word on the street is, there are many more productions of hers to come! Shvili and her record bag may be newer on the DJ circuit, but she has already played in the big leagues with ReSolute, Flash DC, Subsurface, and at ATV Records.
