Dan Waldman

UK born guitarist, previously full scholarship student at Berklee USA, winner of Jimi Hendrix Scholarship award in 1995. Composition 'Vinnie Beneducci', recorded with The Coomes brothers (Lettuce) was featured on Acid Jazz Label comp 'Jazz Revelations' in 1999. USA & UK recording / performances with Jason Marshall, Jeremy Clemons / Mavis "Swan" Poole & Soul Understated, Rashaan & Russell Carter, Jovol Bell, Ryan Berg, Will Vinson, Kassa Overall, Matt Penman, Bruce Cox, Stacey Dillard, David Defries, Frank Williams, Julian Nicholas, Gareth Lockrane, Jean Toussaint, Jally Kebba Susso, Pee Wee Ellis, Raheem DeVaughan, Jake Sherman, Les Cleveland, Onrej Pivec, Malik Work / The Real Live Show NYC w/ Kim Thompson, Jake McMurchie, Alex Garnett, Jonny Henderson and Jazz Refreshed (appearing on their live compilation 'Prelude' in 2012). Dan's also worked in a number of contexts with keyboardist / producer Mark de Clive Lowe including Giles Peterson 'Worldwide' radio show, Sandra St. Victor, Sean Escoffery (Into the Blue 2002), Freesoul Sessions Jazz Cafe residency with Richard Spaven, Nathan Haines, Bembe Segue, Sharlene Hector Bev, Tawiah and Vanessa Freeman. Rap documentary movie 'Verses at Work', featuring Dan's musical productions including "Grown Ass Man" and "Zombie", won International Spotlight Award at the 9th Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival in 2016, and premiered both in New York City at the 12th Harlem International Film Festival and in Brazil in May 2017. A solo debut album of original music, 'Sources and Angles' featuring Will Vinson, Ryan Berg and Kassa Overall, recorded in Brooklyn, is due for release on 23rd July 2020.
