Carl Johan Moberger

Swedish organist and composer, born 18 May 1762 in Nyköping, died 18 November 1844 in Gävle. He was an organist in Gävle from 1786, where he was for a time also director of music at the high school and director of cantus choralis et figuralis at the trivial school. In 1805 he published a translation of Rohrmann's Methode zum zweckmässigen Choralspielen. "M. was a thoroughly educated musician of the classical school, as evidenced by his manuscripts left in manuscript, well-ordered harmonic and contrapuntal studies".
