MC Вспышкин (1936-2011) was an electronic music DJ from St. Petersburg, Russia, promoted by Radio Record station. He became famous in his 70s as a frontman of big raves "Вспышка" and "Колбасный Цех" organized by the same radio station. These events made his eccentric persona & freaky image nationally known (an old crazy raver with biker-style white beard, dressed in colourful clothes). His trademark voice and vocal style also became a part of his recognisable image. Later it was announced by the Radio Record executives that the charismatic voice really belonged to the actor Dmitry Bekoev. Вспышкин was a part of comic/parody dance project «MC Вспышкин & Никифоровна». Internationally Вспышкин is known for his collaboration with DJ Aligator. Their song «Davaj Davaj» («Давай, давай») was released as a single and as a track on «Music Is My Language» album.
