Swedish composer, clarinetist, and violinist, born in Gothenburg on June 6, 1944, grew up in Malmö He got his first music education in theory and clarinet at Malmö Music Conservatory. Later studies in clarinet and violin, 1968-1970, at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm, led to a strong interest in contemporary art music, and 1976-1978 he began composition studies for Lars-Gunnar Bodin, then head of EMS (Electroacoustic Music in Sweden) . After studies in musicology and many years of strong commitment to the new music - among other things under the auspices of Rikskonserter with concert activities, workshops and other educational activities - he was forced to re-evaluate the role of composer. From 1987 to 1991 he began to study composition again. A new study period began at the Gothenburg Academy of Music for the then professor Ole Lützow-Holm and Lars Johan Werle and Åke Parmerud. Occasional studies in 1990 for Klaus Huber (Switzerland) have also been important.
