Об исполнителе:
Hip Hop producer from Stuttgart (Germany), actually live in Prague (Czech Republic). Born on 18th of January 1981 in Brasov, Romania. Early in his childhood he discovered his love for Hip Hop and the first step into his musical career was taken. His parents, both musicians, also supported his talent with piano lessons from the age of six. In the following years he learnt and developed the fundamentals of bass, beats, and melody. DJ Mad Skill realized that music was more than only a hobby – it became his passion. Already at the age of 14 he got into production and started to create new beats. The sound of DJ Mad Skill is very eclectic. In this context the products of the artist take center stage! Nevertheless, the mastermind is able to give them his own personal incomparable touch. Mad Skill has a preference for catchy melodies, the respective right drum assortment and his ad lips music parts. In doing so Mad Skill is always capable to surprise and to convince anew. Over the past years DJ Mad Skill designed two LPs with his former Crew “Versbox”. Stuttgart’s Underground scene was conquered by the successful extractions of their LP “Koyaanisquatsi“ („Babylon Earth“ and „Tapedeck Attack“) which caused quite a stir! “Versbox” also participated successfully in the BigFM Song Contest (2nd place) in 1996. This was another step for DJ Mad Skill to gain regional attention and recognition. This event also promised another chance to successfully promoting his LPs, too. However the All-rounder wanted more than that and started visualizing his music with the video clip “Tapedeck Attack”. The transmission of his music by the help of a video played a decisive role for him: Images could be created and messages could be imparted. Furthermore, they could be understood by the whole world. Mad Skill was thereby responsible for direction, sectional view and post-production. Mad Skill gets his integral approach: producing music, visualizing and mixing! This combination always gives his accomplishment the necessary professionalism and the right polish. In 1997 he got a permanent appointment with DJ Gambit in Albstadt, Germany and helped “Walter’s Bar” to establish itself the region’s number 1 Hip Hop club. In the following years Mad Skill was able to start his Hip Hop business as a DJ in several Clubs in Stuttgart and its suburban areas. Due to his position as a supporting DJ, he got the opportunity to work with several popular and famous musicians for example: Curse, Gentleman, Illmat!c, Kool Savas, Wu Tang Clan and many more. In the year 2003 “Plattform Records” (a new Start-up-Music-Label) offered him a job as a main producer. Mad Skill was ready to bear the challenge and he started to team up with the creative masterminds 5ive7even and PF Squad. From then on, all of DJ Mad Skills´ productions were created through the new label, “Plattform Records”. They were mostly released by Neo/Sony, for example: PF Squad – LP No.1, PF Squad – “Rap is back” (Single), PF Squad – “Du denkst” (Single), Joe Young feat. Inspectah Deck – “I don’t wanna go back”, PF Squad – “Keine Träne” (LP), PF Squad – “Aufstand” (Single). At the same time his music video productions were becoming even stronger. The cooperation with a professional light- and camera-team became common for him. From that point Mad Skill and 5ive7even have been responsible for direction, sectional view and post-production. That’s why Mad Skill not only has been able to convey the world his music, but also the culture behind the scene. His beats were added to four music videos. The video-production of ”PF Squad - Aufstand“ was completely created by “Plattform Records” and DJ Mad Skill. The video-singles can be found on the German music broadcast “VIVA – Get the clip”. Besides, there are often reports about them in the German Hip Hop magazine “Juice”. “Plattform Records also released Joe Young feat. Inspectah Deck & Wu-Tang Clan – “I don’t wanna go back”. MTV Urban´s inclusion of the video on their playlist gave Mad Skill extensive exposure and greatly enhanced his international reputation. The cooperation with the “5vor12Label” afforded a close collaboration with Sentino (“5vor12 – artist”). This was including his second mix tape “La Vida Loca“- and his LP “Ich bin deutscher Hip Hop“. Because of this production Mad Skill was arousing interest in the Berlin rap scene. They achieved the first national chart-hits with the collaboration of two tracks of the “Kid Kobra” LP - “Deutschland ist krank“ - and the cooperation of the mix tapes of DJ Devin (EX-Bushido DJ). In 2005 the producer duo, Mad Skill and 5ive 7even - decided to strike a new professional path! They founded “DRAMA MONKS” and their latest ambition reached new musical dimensions! Since 2007 you can listen to DRAMA MONKS and their beats on recordings like Olli Banjo’s “Lifeshow”, King Orgasmus One & Godsilla’s “Schmutzige Euros”, Maeckes and Plan B and many other German and American albums. DJ Mad Skill is currently working on international projects with Gail Gotti, Prodigy (Mobb Deep), Nate Dogg, Rasco, Royce da 5’9, Nironic, Tangled Thoughts, Kontrafakt (Slovakia’s Rap Crew No. 1), Dara Rolins, etc...
