Paul W.S. Anderson

Paul W. S. Anderson (b. 4th Mar 1965) is an English film director, producer, and screenwriter, best known for his video game adaptations and contributions to the sci-fi genre. He married Milla Jovovich in 2009. Anderson reached commercial success with his second film in Hollywood, Mortal Kombat (1995), based on the eponymous video games by Midway Games. In 1997, a science-fiction horror Event Horizon came out, a critical and commercial failure that eventually reached the cult classic film status. His best-known and most successful movies, the first four parts in the Resident Evil series, were the adaption of Capcom's video game. Anderson also directed an innovative Alien vs. Predator (2004) crossover and Death Race (2008), a remake of the iconic 1975's Death Race 2000 produced by Roger Corman and directed by Paul Bartel (2).
