German percussionist, world musician and music educator, born in 1969 as the 10th child on a farm near Ravensburg. At the age of 10he taught himself how to play the guitar, made his first experiences in bands as a bass player at the age of 16 before falling in love with West African music at 18, especially the Djembe. He was pupil of Cheikh Tidiane Niane from Senegal. At the age of 20 he came into contact on his travels with the music of India, learned to play the sitar and also the gamelan from Indonesia. With Embryo (3) he toured Italy, Spain and Germany for two years.This was followed by a tour with Pandit Amit Bhattacharya, where he for the first time used a cajon in addition to the Indian tabla. Concert projects with Chris Karrer, the guitarist of the Krautrock group Amon Düül II, the Afghan musician Jamal Mohmand and the Algerian singer Rashid Haroun, from Munich guitarist Titus Waldenfels and saxophonist Monty, who died in 2008. In 2002 he toured with Kraków flamenco band Que Passa through Spain and Poland. In 2003, Peter Krämer opened his WeltenKlangHaus. Here, following the example of the Indian Mehfils house concerts with musicians from all parts of the world, but above all from India.
