aka Camilla Cool, Danish punk pioneer, singer, editor (b. 1960), said to be the first punker in Denmark. Having worked in the UK as an au pair she returned to Copenhagen in the summer of 1977, inspired by the punk music with all it's symbols, blue hair and pierced with safety pins. She became girlfriend to Steen Jørgensen who was forming a band with Peter Peter. While in the UK Højby had been interviewed by a UK magazine and told - though untrue - that there was also a punk band in Denmark and came up with the name "Sods" for her imagninary band. Later in 1977 Steen Jørgensens band took the name and became Sods, the first Danish punk band. Højby contributed lyrics for two songs on their debut album, "Police" and "Military Madness". In 1978 she and Jesper Reisinger (Later guitarist in No Knox) took over the Sods fanzine, "The Latest Crap From The Sods" and turned into a broader punk magazine, "Iklipsx". Iklipsx folded in 1980 and Højby became music editor for the magazine Sidegaden. She was also involved in "Bagtropperne", a small organization founded to support alternative music and a.o. activities arranged the fundraiser 12846661. As performing artist she has played with Drift (19) w. a.o. Jens Unmack and Martha Podell, co-founder of the indie label and punk music record store Gry Records
