Sheila Burgel

New York based writer, DJ, and former musician, born in Tehran, Iran in 1977. During her high-school years Sheila played guitar in the New York bands "Wednesday" and "Raggedy Ann". She was the creator of the fanzine "Plume: A Fanzine For Geese and Chickens" (1992 to 1995) and of the magazine and blog "Cha Cha Charming" (1998 to 2017). As Sheila B, she hosts the WFMU radio show "Sophisticated Boom Boom" (2015 to 2022).
