Mexican tenor vocalist, active in the mid-20th century, also appears as Nestor Chaires (Lerdo, Durango, February 26, 1908 - México, June 29, 1971) As a child he liked photography, but discovered his vocation as a singer by the Italian singer Caro Nome. In 1925 he moved to Mexico City to take part in music. In 1930 he started working for the XEB chain. In 1933 he went to Cuba and sang for the president of the island, as well as high officials. On his return to Mexico City, in 1934 records with the double steps of "Morena" by Jorge del Moral and "Rocío" by Alfonso Esparza Oteo. In 1943 he presented his first recital as a soloist at the Palacio de Bellas Artes and, recognized as a great tenor, he appeared in New York on NBC, as the owner of the Viva América program. In those years he toured the United States and Canada, and later toured South America, where he visited the countries of Peru, Colombia, Venezuela and Argentina. While on his tour of Europe, he delighted with his voice to Spain, France, Holland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Venezuela. As of 1951 his career was postponed for more than 10 years due to a fatal car accident in which his mother died. In 1971, the singer dies because of a heart attack.
