Czech vocalist and actress. Born November 19, 1952 in Prague (former Czechoslovakia) as Jana Petrů. Adopted the name “Petra Janů” in the early 1970s in order to avoid confusion with a popular 1960s vocalist of the same name, Jana Petrů. Cast member of the Semafor Theatre Prague 1972–1977.
