Will Gaynor

Will Gaynor is an Austin, Texas-based artist whose artwork deals with existential topics: life, death, sex, and “the strangeness of being,” as he puts it. “It’s sort of my way of figuring out how to navigate what I call the intricacies of modern existence,” he says, but it comes with a lot of humor. His paintings are strange and symbolic, somehow uniting sacred geometry, cartoonish images, and nature. For Gaynor, music is his biggest inspiration as an artist and he's done several album covers for legendary Austin indie rockers, White Denim.
