Jim Hawkins (2)

US recording engineer. He began his music career in the 1960s as a member of the band The Embers, who played with Otis Redding. He opened his first studio, Otis Redding Memorial Studio in Macon, Georgia, which became Capricorn Sound Studios. He moved back to Athens, where he owned and operated Studio 1093 from 1979 until 2018, when he put the studio up for sale and retired. In addition to recording, mixing and producing music, Hawkins also engineered sound for films.
