Настоящее имя: Anders Ekdahl
Об исполнителе:
Swedish pianist, arranger and conductor, born in 1943 in Västra Skrävlinge, Malmö. Ekdahl showed an early musical interest which he further refined in the capital of Sweden at Kungliga Musikhögskolan I Stockholm in the late 1960s. A refinement which has given him the opportunity of being the accompanist to most of the greatest artists in Sweden of his time like Povel Ramel, Lill Lindfors, Jan Malmsjö, Lill-Babs, Sven-Bertil Taube and Mikael Samuelson, but also some great artists from abroad, with long artistic careers in the country, like Arja Saijonmaa and Barbara Hendricks. He has conducted and arranged for chamber choirs like Kammarkören KFUM Sonorus in Stockholm, the orchestras Bryssels Badorkester and Den Ofattbara Orkestern, which both have been the supporting orchestra behind Galenskaparna Och After Shave at their revues. In 1983, he led the Eurovision Song Contest orchestra for Carola Häggkvist's rendition of 'Främling'. Ekdahl also arranged Duke Ellington's Concert of Sacred Music for Eva Ekdahl's Chamber Choir and a seven-piece jazz band, with himself on the piano, at the Jazz Festival in Ystad in 2014. Anders Ekdahl is married to the conductor and former music teacher at Adolf Fredriks Musikklasser Eva Ekdahl.
