Об исполнителе:
Danish folk group; Tørfisk is a Danish music group - and according to themselves, Denmark's oldest boy band - from Thyborøn in West Jutland. The group was formed in 1981 and consists of the four members Anker Hviid, Bent Kirk, Egon Kirk and Bent Bro. From 1983-1995 Henning Toft Bro was also a member of the group. However, he was still affiliated with the group for several years to come. In 2010, he was appointed bishop of the Aalborg Diocese. The group has been inspired by Irish folk music, while the lyrics are about life in West Jutland and also often about what life is like as a fisherman. Over the course of the time, the group has released 16 albums, with the biggest hits being "Lugter lidt af Fisk", "Tørfisk" and "VLTJ". The song "VLTJ" has gained cult status over time and is, as one of the few songs, known throughout most of Denmark. The song "VLTJ" is about the Vemb-Lemvig-Thyborøn Railway.
