The place went to Nanne Grönvall, but Sveriges Television urged her to try again. She also sent in the same contribution to the following melody festival, which was not noticed in any way. In the second half of 2006, she submitted "Trying to Recall" for the third time to Melodifestivalen 2007 and in October of that year her entry was selected for the competition in Gothenburg.[6] Her entry was one of the two winners that went directly to the finals in the Globe in Stockholm on March 10, 2007, where the entry finished in fifth place. In March 2007, she released her debut album 'Trying to Recall', which reached number one on the Swedish album chart. Before she participated in Melodifestivalen, she had worked as a teacher at Fisketorpsskolan in Munkedal since 1999. Marie Lindberg's husband Jan Lindberg (3) has competed three times in Melodifestivalen with the dance band Date. The couple lives in Munkedal. In the second half of 2006, Marie Lindberg contacted the record company Bolero Records and signed a record contract with them. Immediately after winning the competition, she recorded her debut album in Sundsvall with producer Patrik Frisk. On March 5, 2007, "Trying to Recall" was released as a single.
