Mikhail Pachter made numerous recordings of Russian operas with the Bolshoi Theatre of the USSR: Mussorgsky's “Boris Godunov”, Glinka's “Ivan Susanin”, Tchaikovsky's “Eugene Onegin”, and Dargomyzhsky's “The Stone Guest”, succeeding in this most complex genre, despite the less than optimal conditions then available. M. Pachter made many recordings with outstanding pianists, like T. Nikolaeva, M. Pletnev, and A. Bakhchiev.
