Σπύρος Γλένης

Spiros Glenis is a musician who was born and raised in Lefkada, a Greek island of the Ionian Sea, with a rich culture influenced by the years of the Italian occupation. At the age of 10, he became involved with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Lefkada, which played a key role in his future and his artistic development. He started practicing and playing many percussion instruments and he is self thought. In his first steps he began to experiment with the traditional percussion which he studied passionately thereby developing his own personal style. Since then,all kinds of percussion became the center of his research, studies and work. He was a percussion instructor in Aristedes Moschos school of folklore and traditional music for 15 years. He has worked with the most renowned artists of the Greek music industry. He has also participated in Greek discography, having played in more than 3000 songs.
