Rubén García-Benito

Classical musician (composition, violin, lyrical singing), begins his path in Early Music with recorder and vielle. He soon felt attracted by Chinese culture, graduating in East Asian Studies and then moving his residence to China, where he began his studies in Chinese traditional music at the University of Beijing and continued his research at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, where he delved into early Chinese music. He plays erhu 二胡, dizi 笛子, xiao 箫, sheng, 笙, xun 埙, and mongolian throat singing. He has been in charge of developing the theme of the Early Music Festivals and he has conceived, developed, and directed major artistics projects on the interculturality of universal Early Music.
