Jerzy Leszczyński (2)

Born 1947, died November 15, 2008 in Lublin (Poland). Polish mime, choreographer, writer, theater director, educator, and founder of Lublin's Vision and Movement Theatre. He created a theatrical method based on combining mime, ballet, modern dance and other types of movement, such as those associated with acrobatics, as well as light and music. Drawing on classical pantomime, he enriched its means of expression with the experiences of the Japanese Nō Theatre and Indian kathakali. Based on "latent movement" and "slow motion", he created a new, previously unknown style called the theater of vision and movement.
