John Lacey (7)

Canadian steel guitarist originally from Oakville, Ontario. Active in the Toronto folk scene in the late 60s, he started playing steel guitar in 1972. He moved to Edmonton in 1979, then to Vancouver in 1980, returning to Edmonton after a year. He stayed there until 1987 when he moved to Vancouver once again. In 1992 he moved to Black Diamond, Alberta where he remains and runs the Shedhouse Recording Studio. 1991 awarded the B.C. Country Music Association's Instrumentalist of the Year award.
