Μανώλης Ρασούλης Cretan artist [Lyricist, Composer, Writer, Singer, Poet, Journalist] born in 1945 at Herakleion, Crete, Greece, originated from Sises, Mylopotamos, Rethemnos, Crete Father of Natalie Rassoulis From early age he was eager in arts he sang psalms at biggest church of Herakleion St. Minas, in 1963 he studied Cinema Director in Athens, he writes poems, and starts singing at Plaka, Athens. Because of his social beliefs he was captured at the military Hounta in Apr. 21, 1967. Then he left for London were he became more active in political terms amd came back in 1974 [with the end of the military Hounta] Around 1978 his friend Μάνος Λοΐζος asked him and Maria Farandouri to sing at the album Τα Νέγρικα, Nikos Mamangakis also asked him to sing, and he also wrote some books. Later on discouraged by the left party he changed his philosophy. He continued to write at newspapers, produce radio shows and he lead an international career. He collaborated with many distinguished artists such as: Χάρις Αλεξίου, Νίκος Παπάζογλου, Νίκος Ξυδάκης and more. Mainly acknowledged as a lyricist, he is considered one of the most significant Greek figures of his era. he . Died in March 5th, 2011 at Thessaloniki, Greece.
