Tim Brandwijk

Born in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, Tim Brandwijk (1983) has been addicted to music since childhood. After playing around with the piano and keyboard, he found his way into music tracker programs like Scream Tracker and Impulse Tracker on his computer. It didn’t take long for him to start releasing tracks on different netlabels, such as Total Eclipse, Ignorance, Intense and Tokyo Dawn Records, with genres ranging from hardcore to clubhouse, drum&bass and pop. Tim then signed his first record deal at the age of 15. After that a few 12 inch releases followed shortly, which got supported by various big name DJs in The Netherlands as well as in the UK. It was then that Embliss discovered the sounds of Hybrid, BT, and other progressive trance, house and breaks, that truly inspired him. After majoring in Music Technology and Sound Design at Utrecht School of the Arts and doing sound design for several (inter)national films, Embliss found his own style somewhere between progressive breaks, house, and trance.
