Cleveland-born rock vocalist Megan McCauley first began performing country songs as a child under her real name Megan Ashley. She acquired a record deal in her early teens and released a self-titled EP in 2005. Besides her songs being featured on TV and in films such as 'Elektra', 'Fantastic Four', and 'Beverly Hills Chihuahua', in 2007 McCauley appeared on the daytime talk show Dr. Phil to discuss her contentious relationship with her mother, whom she claimed was an abusive stage mom. Along with the emotional issues with her mother, McCauley discussed her alleged problems with drug abuse, all of which informed her first full-length debut album, "Better Than Blood" featuring the single "Tap That", "Better Than Blood" was released on Wind-Up Records in 2007, after that Megan began to work on new songs for a potential new album but the label dediced to drop her, Megan announced the death of "Megan McCauley" and changed her stage name to MugZy and recorded a bunch of pop-rock songs that have never been released officially, one more time the project was scrapped because the songs were hacked and then leaked to the internet by "fans".
