American disco musician, singer, keyboardist, songwriter, and record producer, born July 11, 1953 in Blue Island, Illinois. Grew up in Palos Heights, Chicago. Songwriter - producer Cory Wade brought him to prominence. Released four albums between 1977 - 1984. His strongest LP was his debut recording for Florida's T.K. RECORDS in 1978, "Do you wanna get Funky with Me". A very solid effort with standout tracks like "Dance with Me", "For your Love", "You can do it", "Without Love", & the title track. His 2nd LP had some fine moments, but was not as strong as his debut. His 1983 LP for RCA "Back to the Front" had solid tracks such as "Lover Come Back". His 1984 LP for Columbia records, "Snap" was very strong, with quite a few standouts such as "Zie zie won't dance", "They only come out at Night", "Love is just the Game", "Double or Nothing", "Make you rock with me". He and writing partner Robert Rans struck commercial gold when they composed a song called "Material Girl" which became a career-defining hit in 1985 for Madonna. In the late 80's after a Tinnitus symptom in his ears, he gave up music business.
