Jonathon Ware

Jonathon Ware of is a 10 year old boy who lives in Milwaukie, Oregon (as of July 2007). He is known for his appearance at the Rose Festival in Waterfront Village, where he was interviewed by Nancy Francis of News Channel 8 (KGW, Portland). In a 17 second clip posted on YouTube in June, 2007, Jonathon's only line is "I like turtles." From this deadpan delivery in "zombie" make-up and the stunned reaction of the news reporter, the phrase "I like turtles" and the zombie kid became an internet meme.
