Об исполнителе:
British Underground Rock band Karakorum played an intense eastern tinged Progressive Rock between 1969-1973, characterised by a hypnotic trance like use of rhythm. An issue of the UK rock paper Sounds reported that "Keith Moon is raving about Karakorum" after Moon attended an Alexis Korner concert with Karakorum as support. Many people including their Manager expected Karakorum to hit the big time and considered them as near geniuses and absolutely unique. Its hard to see why they didnt break through as they were hugely popular live and played zillions of gigs. Its possible they were simply too leftfield for the mainstream and refused to compromise their complex inward gazing prog style. No music by Karakorum was ever issued until Seelie Courts releases. Their very specific style may take repeat plays to reveal its excellence, and for some it may be just too leftfield.
