The choir formed under director Donald H. Forbes in 1960 and were based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. They performed a wide ranging repertoire including modern arrangements of popular songs, folk ballads, plus early liturgical music and oratorio. The choir performed locally and as a touring group. Its members ranged in age from seven to eighteen, and anyone who could pass the vocal requirements was eligible to join. The choir had hundreds of members and several conductors during its years of activity. Melvin Unger conducted the choir from 1974 to 1975. The group was retired in the 1990s or 2000s.
