99ers

Moscow based “99ers” is a collaboration of two producers – DJ Romanov & DJ HiTretz. Name comes from nostalgic “49ers” and Moscow region. This duo initially originated around remixing of 90s’ club anthems. They are also very drawn to the classic progressive and some dutch sound which is rather noticeable in their tracks. Very shortly after, colab gave quite promising results which showed in several releases on Russian and International labels. Now half a year later all the tracks have found their regional audience and are going towards the big West. Currently 99ers are filling up their studio with gear and perfecting their sound. DJ Aleksei Romanov is one of the veterans in Moscow club scene. His sixteen years of experience include remixes of Tina Charls, Agent Smith and Swanky Tunes on “UPLIFTO” as well as residencies at legendary clubs like “Earmitaj”, “Utopia”, “Titanic”. He knows about the time of hardhouse and techno through his own experience. Since then he has played every club track from hip-hop to hardcore. Latest and greatest residencies were at “Garaj” and “Sexton”. Currently DJ Romanov is much more interested in developing the right sound then holding residencies. However he doesn’t forget to rock the crowd in clubs like “Diagilev”, “Zona” and others. DJ HiTretz (Aleksei Trotskii) goes back to 1996 and went through just about every hard- house club night, open-air and autoparty, on on eof which he actually ran into DJ Romanov. Dj HiTretz is currently very much into throwin down floor friendly dutch and funk house. Currently He is writing tracks and making mixes for labels like “Zvuk3000”, “PoziDance”, “KDK Rec.”, “Slavic Records”, “Flash Records”, “Scanpromo”. Slavic Records, www.slavicbeat.com has become “99ers” first western label that has accepted their work in the electro genra. “99ers” keep progressing and pleasantly surprising Slavic with slamin remixes of several Slavic artists and producers.
