Stephen Kanang

Stephen Kanang is born on 24 September 1954. Since his younger days, he is fond of participating in traditional Iban customs and knows how to perform Ngajat, a traditional Iban dance. Besides that, he enjoys singing whenever competitions or celebrations are held. He is described as someone who is humble and friendly. His debut record is released by Victory Record Co. Sibu in July 1974. He is a devout Roman Catholic and was chosen to go overseas to visit the United Kingdom, France and Rome in 1975, the year which was declared as a Holy Year by Pope Paul VI. At the time of writing, he is still alive, serving as a cathecist. He currently resides in Nanga Tabau, Teluk Batu Tatau, Bintulu, Sarawak.
