Gabriela Mikova Johnson

(from sleeve notes to A Philipstown Messiah): Gabriela Mikova Johnson (solo Soprano) is a graduate of the Janacek Conservatory in her native Czech Republic. Her Czech career includes six seasons as featured soloist at Plzen's J.K. Tyl Theatre (including Eurydice in Orpheus in the Underworld and Mabel in Pirates of Penzance), Bernstein's Mass with the State Philharmonic Orchestra of Brno, concerts with both the Janacek and North Bohemian Philharmonic Orchestras, and three european tours. Since moving to New York she has performed concerts in Garrison, Cold Spring, and Monroe, and in the fall of 2012 starred as Polly Peachum in Gordon Stewart's production of The Beggar's Opera at the Philipstown Depot Theatre.
